Vegas nightlife to classic red rock scenery... From Saturday to Saturday, this eight day tour of the Southwest gives you maximum experience for minimum money. Roundtrip from Las Vegas, we camp and hike in Zion, Bryce, the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, and Monument Valley.

Horseback ride on an authentic western ranch. Cruise historic Route 66 on the way back to Las Vegas. With three nights of lodging and five camping nights for less than $1,000, there is no better way to experience the Southwest. More off-the-beaten track than the competition, do something different every day without feeling rushed. INCLUDED in the tour price is horseback riding, a jeep tour of Monument Valley, Grand Canyon IMAX movie tickets, and a Las Vegas limo special to finish things off right!


DAY 1: Las Vegas.

Arrive any time. Welcome meeting this evening. HOTEL: Las Vegas, NV

DAY 2: Zion National Park.

Drive to Zion National Park for hiking. CAMP: Zion National Park / Springdale, UT

DAY 3: Bryce Canyon National Park.

Drive to Bryce Canyon National Park. CAMP: Bryce Canyon City, UT / Tropic, UT

DAY 4: Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.

Drive scenic Hwy 12 through Grand Staircase-Escalante over Hell's Backbone for horseback riding (included). HOTEL/CABINS: Boulder, UT

DAY 5: Lake Powell.

Weather permitting, cross the heart of Grand Staircase-Escalante to the backside of Lake Powell. CAMP: [vicinity of] Bullfrog Marina, Lake Powell NRA

DAY 6: Monument Valley.

Scenic views and jeep tour of Monument Valley (included). CAMP: Monument Valley, UT

DAY 7: Grand Canyon National Park.

Drive to South Rim of the Grand Canyon for hiking, IMAX, optional helicopter flight. CAMP: Grand Canyon National Park, AZ

DAY 8: Las Vegas.

Cruise Route 66 to Las Vegas, end of tour. HOTEL: Las Vegas, NV


Summer 2013:  8 days / 8 nights

DAY 1:

Las Vegas.

Arrive Saturday anytime. An optional welcome meeting this evening kicks the trip off and gets the party started. Head to an all-you-can-eat buffet before hitting the Strip!

DAY 2:

Zion National Park.

Leave the glitz of Vegas behind for the real star of this trip: chiselled red rock cliffs and the wide open spaces of the Colorado Plateau, an area of intense scenic beauty in southern Utah and northern Arizona. Our trekking grounds for the next two weeks, head first to Zion National Park for hiking and canyon views.

DAY 3:

Bryce Canyon National Park.

Red rock, everywhere! Hike Bryce Canyon, a high altitude amphitheatre full of rocky spires, and visit Kodachrome Basin State Park.

DAY 4:

Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument / Boulder, Utah.

Drive scenic Highway 12 to a secluded and authentic western ranch. Here, enjoy horseback riding (included!) and an evening of relaxation.

DAY 5:

Lake Powell.

Weather permitting, forge through the heart of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument on dirt roads to the backside of Lake Powell. Swim in the lake and camp primitive along the shores. The views are unforgettable!

DAY 6:

Monument Valley.

Cross Lake Powell by car ferry on our way to some of the most iconic red rock country in the West. Take a jeep tour of Monument Valley Tribal Park and gather insights into native life, before sleeping rough for a special camp-out.

DAY 7:

Grand Canyon National Park.

Visit the world famous Grand Canyon National Parkís south rim for views and hiking. Watch the IMAX movie (included) or take an optional helicopter ride for a truly memoriable experience!

DAY 8:

Las Vegas.

Drive historic Route 66 for the best of Americana kitsch. Swap nature for civilization in Las Vegas on our second Saturday in a row in Sin City. Letís make the most of it!
